Evolution Lightning Games: What Makes Them Worth Playing?

The world of crypto casinos offers all kinds of games, including those hosted by real-life dealers. At live tables, crypto enthusiasts can enjoy not only casino classics but also innovative takes on them. One provider in this niche particularly stands out. It's Evolution, whose groundbreaking live dealer titles have taken the iGaming industry by storm.

This Crypto Gamba article takes a closer look at Evolution's Lightning series, offering games with action-packed rounds, immersive graphics, and high multipliers. Stay tuned to learn why you should give them a go.

What Are Lightning Games?

In 2018, Evolution (previously Evolution Gaming) launched Lightning Roulette, an innovative take on the game that helped it make a name for itself. Although the provider was well-known for its live dealer games, this title made it stand out from the crowd and collect multiple industry awards.

Since then, Evolution has introduced a whole bunch of games with the same element: a random multiplier that can go up to 20,000x in some titles. So, Lightning games are live casino games where you can win big thanks to an engaging and potentially rewarding bonus feature.

Best Evolution Lightning Games You Can Play at Live Dealer Tables

The collection of Evolution Lightning games gets bigger and bigger, with new titles added regularly. Here are the releases you should not miss out on.

The game that caused “Lightning fever”, Lightning Roulette Live, is still one of the most popular Evolution titles. Based on European Roulette, it features Lucky Numbers that get struck by lightning and assigned random multipliers of 50x to 500x. To win them, you must play a Straight-up bet, which, without multipliers, pays 29:1 instead of the regular 35:1.

In 2022, Evolution came up with the upgraded version, XXXtreme Lightning Roulette. It's a highly volatile game with up to 10 multipliers that can go up to 2,000x, thanks to additional extras. If you win on a Straight-up bet with a number that hasn't been hit by lightning, you'll get paid 19:1 instead of 35:1.

Lightning Baccarat

Baccarat is a straightforward game, but, frankly, its payouts are mediocre. Now, you have a chance to win boosted payouts that can go up to 310,720:1 on a Tie bet. Like Lightning Roulette, Lightning Baccarat introduces random multipliers. They range from 2x to 8x and are added to up to 5 cards randomly selected from a virtual deck, also known as Lightning Cards.

While there's no difference in the gameplay between standard crypto baccarat games and the Lightning variant in terms of betting options, the latter also adds a 20% Lightning Fee to the total bet. If you receive Lightning Cards and your hand wins, all multiplier values are multiplied. The riskiest bet, Tie, can generate the biggest payouts. However, if you win on the Tie bet and receive no Lightning Cards, you'll get paid 5:1 instead of 8:1 or 9:1, which is standard.

As one of the most popular card games, blackjack has also received the Lightning treatment. Lightning Blackjack accepts unlimited players who can benefit from multipliers going up to 25x. A mandatory Lightning Fee is required for the player to qualify for a multiplier. It is automatically charged once the main bet is placed.

After the betting time elapses, each hand value gets a random multiplier, with a blackjack receiving the highest, up to 25x. However, if you win a multiplier, it will be transferred to the next round instead of being awarded as an instant win. The good news is that a natural pays 3:2 without multipliers, like in standard blackjack games. Also, all hands in Lighting Blackjack Live get assigned a multiplier, so all you have to do to benefit from them is to have a winning hand in at least two rounds.

Lightning Dice

At crypto casinos, dice games are hugely popular. While most of them are RNG games, this one is hosted by a live dealer and uses real dice for a more immersive experience. The player should predict the outcome of a dice roll, betting on a total of three dice. When the lightning strikes, up to 4 numbers can get assigned multipliers of up to 1,000x.

Remember that only totals of 3 and 18 can receive the maximum multiplier. Without multipliers, these bets pay 150x.

The latest addition to the popular Evolution series, Lightning Storm Live, went live in 2024. It's a game show based on the wheel offering five bonus rounds that can help you win up to 20,000x. Unlike other Lightning games designed in an art-deco style, this has a Victorian feel to it, transporting you to a studio resembling the one where Frankenstein's monster was created.

Lightning Storm offers multiple betting options, including Storm Chaser and X Chaser, which automatically cover segments with bonus features at a certain cost. The spin of the wheel determines whether an instant win is delivered or a bonus game is played. The top payout of 20,000x is hidden in the Lightning Storm bonus round.

Who Are Lighting Games For?

Everybody can try their luck at Lightning games, but the maximum payouts are reserved for those who are willing to take risks. If you prefer low-risk gameplay, you will not experience the winning potential of these games at its full capacity, but you can still give them a go.
